The short version
Be kind to the person asking. Suggest things you'd do yourself. Be a real person.
- Be kind to the person asking.
Disagree with an idea, never with the person. No insults, mocking or pile-ons.
- No bullying or harassment.
That includes following someone from quest to quest, ganging up, and "jokes" at someone's expense.
- No hate or threats.
Nothing that attacks people for who they are. Nothing that threatens anyone, even "kidding".
- Nothing dangerous or humiliating.
Suggest things you'd do yourself. Nothing illegal, risky, or meant to embarrass.
- Keep private things private.
No addresses, phone numbers, schools, workplaces, or photos of anyone without their OK. Yours included.
- Be a real person.
One account each, run by you. No bots, no AI agents posting or voting for you, no fake votes, no ads dressed up as ideas. A spell checker is fine. Letting software speak for you isn't.
When a rule gets broken
- A post that might break a rule is held while a person checks it.
- A post that breaks one is removed. You'll see why. Nobody else does.
- Breaking rules again pauses posting for a while. Threats, sharing private info or running a bot can end an account right away.
- Every decision can get a second look, and you always hear the result.
